Internal Account Manager – ICT Solutions

About the role

The client, a respected ICT solutions provider in Johannesburg, seeks an Internal Account Manager to own and grow an established portfolio of SME and medium‑size corporate customers. The role focuses on long‑term relationship building, delivering excellent service, and identifying consultative selling opportunities within existing accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and expand a portfolio of 5‑100 user business clients, acting as the primary point of contact.
• Develop deep understanding of each client’s business and technology environment.
• Identify and pursue upsell and cross‑sell opportunities for hosted/on‑premise PBX, VoIP, networking, cloud, cyber‑security and managed ICT services.
• Provide proactive communication, follow‑up on support tickets and ensure client satisfaction throughout the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with technical and support teams to guarantee seamless service delivery.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets and generate referrals for the new‑business team.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years’ experience as an Account Manager in the ICT or telecommunications sector.
• Proven track record of growing existing accounts through upselling and cross‑selling.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and relationship‑management skills.
• Commercially minded with the ability to recommend technology solutions that add real value.
