Internal Account Manager – ICT Distribution (Cape Town)

About the role

We are seeking a driven Internal Account Manager to join a leading ICT distribution business in Cape Town. The role focuses on managing and growing existing customer accounts, building strong relationships, and delivering consultative sales solutions. You will act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients and help drive revenue through upselling and strategic account planning.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for an assigned portfolio of customer accounts.
• Develop and maintain relationships at all organisational levels, including high‑profile clients.
• Prepare, follow up and manage quotations from request through delivery.
• Implement sales strategies on named accounts and identify new business opportunities.
• Maximise sales by upselling and expanding order sizes on each interaction.
• Ensure service level agreements for quoting and delivery are consistently met.
• Provide weekly sales reports to management.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of sales experience in an Internal Account Manager role.
• Experience in ICT distribution or related technology sales is advantageous.
• Proven ability to prepare quotations and develop sales plans.
• Matriculation with Mathematics essential; a diploma in Sales, Marketing or IT is a plus.
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle.
