Intermediate Structural/Civil Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed structural inspections and evaluate existing buildings for safety and compliance with South African codes and regulations.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports outlining findings and recommending remedial actions.
• Design and plan warehouses and perform reinforced concrete design.
• Produce high‑quality structural drawings using AutoCAD or Revit.
• Model and analyse existing structures with software such as Prokon.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (BSc, BEng, or BTech) in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized institution.
• 2–5 years of experience in structural and civil design; on‑site experience is a plus.
• Keen eye for detail, strong time‑management skills, basic physical fitness and comfort working at heights.
• Willingness to travel throughout South Africa, including long‑distance drives and overnight stays.
• Valid driver's licence (essential) and own transport preferred; personal health insurance required.

Required skills

• Proficiency in structural modelling and analysis using Prokon.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Excellent report‑writing abilities.
• Strong knowledge of structural design and construction practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word).
