About the role
Swan IT is seeking an Intermediate Project Manager to support a financial services client in Cape Town. The role focuses on delivering software development projects using agile methodologies while ensuring alignment with client business goals.
Key responsibilities
- Define project goals, success criteria, and develop execution plans.
- Coordinate, control, and direct project team activities to meet time, cost, and quality targets.
- Maintain project governance, manage change control, and monitor finances.
- Facilitate daily, weekly and monthly agile rituals and track progress to resolve blockages.
- Communicate regularly with clients and stakeholders through meetings and written reports.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience, preferably in IT software development.
- Relevant degree (3‑year IT degree) and strong understanding of SDLC and implementation processes.
- Experience delivering projects for financial services or similar sectors.
Required skills
- Agile methodology
- Scrum and Kanban frameworks
- SDLC knowledge
- PMBOK or Prince2 familiarity
