Intermediate PHP Developer (Symfony & Vue.js)

About the role

MiWay is looking for an intermediate PHP Developer to join its agile technology team. You will work on a growing suite of insurance and fintech applications, collaborating with cross‑functional members to deliver high‑quality, user‑focused solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain PHP‑based back‑end services using Symfony 5+ and MVC principles.
• Implement front‑end features with JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js, Nuxt.js and jQuery.
• Participate in code reviews, ensure coding standards, and contribute to the technical direction of projects.
• Debug and optimise browser‑based applications, monitoring performance and user experience metrics.
• Support production environments to maintain stability and resolve issues promptly.

Required profile

• Computer science or engineering qualification.
• Minimum 4 years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience with PHP 7.4 or higher and Symfony 5 or later.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and modern front‑end libraries.
