Insurance Sales Consultant – Klerksdorp

About the role

Tracker's Sales Department is looking for an Insurance Sales Consultant based in Klerksdorp. The role centres on securing new business from brokers in personal and commercial lines, promoting Tracker's products and services, driving sales growth and achieving agreed sales targets across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Secure new business from brokers in personal and commercial lines and provide policy and product information to them
• Deliver broker presentations and regular training sessions
• Focus on area and market penetration, and handle queries and account resolution
• Achieve sales and operational targets set by management, including sales targets on VAPS
• Administer sales contracts and complete weekly and monthly reports accurately and on time
• Handle point-of-sale material at brokers and maintain weekly call and visit rates, making physical visits to brokers in the allocated territory
• Maintain broker profiles and hold monthly reviews with brokers
• Attend occasional after-hours functions and get involved with the IIEC and FIA
• Assist with any other tasks assigned by the manager and embrace service excellence

Required profile

• Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification
• Accredited sales training qualifications
• 2 years of sales experience in a target-driven, customer-facing environment
• Insurance broker experience with knowledge of the broker environment
• Proven record in relationship building, business development and service-oriented sales
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout the allocated territory
• Valid driver's licence

• Computer literacy: MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook
• Negotiating and sales skills, good business acumen
• Communication, organisational and negotiation skills; able to work under pressure
