Insurance Consultant – Commercial Contact Centre

About the role

Santam’s Commercial Contact Centre in Bellville is looking for an Insurance Consultant to deliver end‑to‑end service and support to our intermediary network. You will act as the primary point of contact for brokers and authorised representatives, handling enquiries via phone and email and helping to convert opportunities into policies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide telephonic and email support to intermediaries, answering queries and guiding them through the quotation process.
• Analyse intermediary requests, prepare accurate quotations and follow up to secure business.
• Initiate outbound calls to discuss quotations, negotiate terms and convert leads into policies.
• Issue new business policies and ensure timely resolution of insurance queries in line with compliance requirements.
• Manage client expectations regarding turnaround times and adhere to underwriting criteria and regional guidelines.
• Contribute to net‑profit and growth targets for the business.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and support workforce‑management initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of insurance products and underwriting principles.
• Ability to meet performance targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with attention to detail.
