Insurance Agent – Appointment Setting

About the role

Vouch SA is launching a digital insurance brokerage aimed at South African upper‑middle and affluent consumers. The Insurance Agent will support human advisors by generating qualified appointments, engaging new leads, and ensuring a smooth hand‑off to advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Engage inbound and outbound client leads, presenting Vouch’s value proposition with honesty and transparency.
• Assess client needs, affordability and interest to qualify leads before passing them to advisors.
• Schedule and confirm appointments, reducing cancellations and no‑shows.
• Maintain a high daily activity level to keep a strong pipeline of qualified prospects.
• Collaborate with other departments and the digital team to address complex client needs and improve online tools.
• Provide input for financial education content and assist with cold‑calling, customer service and admin tasks.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• FAIS accreditation and fit‑and‑proper status.
• Previous experience in a call centre, sales or appointment‑setting role (preferred).
• Experience in insurance or financial services is an advantage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable working with targets and performance metrics.

Required skills

• Basic computer literacy, including CRM systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
