Infrastructure Systems Engineer

About the role

Our client in Centurion is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Systems Engineer on a 12‑month renewable contract. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Windows‑based server environments, both virtualised and physical, across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and troubleshoot Windows Server (2008‑2019) and related infrastructure services.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and Exchange (2013 to Exchange Online).
• Administer server virtualization platforms including VMware, Microsoft Hyper‑V and Failover Clustering.
• Implement and maintain Office 365, Microsoft Azure, and cloud‑based VPN connections.
• Monitor system health, deploy software updates, and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation for the Operations team.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in corporate IT operations.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with senior stakeholders and external providers.
• Self‑motivated learner with a focus on continuous improvement.

Required skills

• MCSE or equivalent Microsoft certification.
• Windows Server (2008‑2019) administration.
• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy.
