Infrastructure & Cloud Architect

About the role

An experienced Infrastructure & Cloud Architect is needed to design and deliver scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure solutions. The role will drive modernisation, cloud‑native adoption, and alignment of technology with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement modern infrastructure solutions using cloud‑native architectures.
• Lead cloud migration and modernisation initiatives across enterprise systems.
• Ensure infrastructure scalability, security, and compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align technology strategies with business goals.
• Maintain, govern, and control the technology architecture in line with standards and best practices.
• Build and operate a Technology Architecture Centre of Excellence within the Enterprise Architecture practice.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
• Accelerate digital transformation through cloud adoption.
• Reduce operational costs by modernising legacy infrastructure.
• Enhance system reliability, performance, and security posture.
• Enable agile development and faster time‑to‑market.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and architecture.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• 5+ years of experience with DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code.
• 5+ years of experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of networking, security, and system architecture principles.
• Bachelor’s Honours Degree (NQF Level 8) and TOGAF certification.
