Information Security Manager – Infrastructure & Security

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Manager to lead and enhance our cybersecurity strategy across multiple African operations. You will be responsible for protecting systems, data and infrastructure while driving continuous improvement of our cloud and on‑premise environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define, implement and evolve the company’s cybersecurity strategy to safeguard assets across all locations.
• Manage and optimise both cloud (primarily AWS) and on‑premise infrastructure, including networks, servers, firewalls, backups and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Oversee cyber‑risk management, incident response, vulnerability management and security‑awareness programmes.
• Ensure compliance with security, privacy and regulatory requirements, handling audits and third‑party vendor governance.
• Drive automation, standardisation and system optimisation in collaboration with cross‑functional IT teams.
• Travel quarterly to various African regions to support regional sites and assess security posture.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum five years of experience in cybersecurity, IT infrastructure and systems administration.
• Proven track record managing enterprise infrastructure, networks and cloud environments (preferably AWS).
• Strong background implementing cybersecurity controls, vulnerability management, identity & access management and compliance frameworks.
• Willingness and ability to travel across Africa on a quarterly basis.
