Inbound Customer Service Agent – Remote (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Join a fast‑growing BPO partner supporting a US healthcare provider. You will work remotely from South Africa, handling inbound patient calls during rotating shifts for a 3‑to‑6‑month fixed‑term contract linked to the flu season.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls and respond to patient enquiries promptly and courteously.
• Verify patient insurance details, personal information and co‑payment requirements.
• Schedule, reschedule and confirm appointments using the client’s scheduling system.
• Provide accurate information about available healthcare services.
• Capture and update patient data with a high level of accuracy.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of appointments, patient needs and preferences.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience while ensuring confidentiality and professionalism.

Required profile

• Exceptional English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Professional, polished and customer‑focused attitude.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to excellent service.
• Fast learner with solid problem‑solving abilities.
• Critical thinker who can interpret information accurately.
• Calm and professional under pressure.
• Patient, empathetic and compassionate when assisting customers.
• Reliable fixed‑fibre internet (minimum 25 Mbps) and power backup for load‑shedding.
