Hygiene Assistant

About the role

The Hygiene Assistant is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across multiple client sites. You will perform deep‑cleaning tasks, manage consumable supplies, and ensure sanitary waste is disposed of according to regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out deep‑cleaning duties on all client locations following prescribed procedures.
• Deliver consumable orders and ensure chemicals (sani‑bin powder, deep‑cleaning agents) are stocked and ready for use.
• Service sanitary bins and dispose of waste in compliance with regulations.
• Complete daily and monthly service allocations efficiently and on time.
• Return unused stock to the warehouse and notify supervisors of returns.
• Report equipment issues, client complaints, incidents, and accidents to the supervisor and Operations Manager.
• Maintain equipment in good working order and wear required uniform and PPE.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
• Assist with warehouse, office, and vehicle housekeeping as directed.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) certificate.
• Previous experience in hygiene or cleaning services is highly advantageous.
• Strong organizational abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask.

Required skills

• Familiarity with MS Office.
