HVAC Project Coordinator & Estimator

About the role

The company is a well‑established HVAC provider seeking a proactive Project Coordinator & Estimator to support commercial projects from award through to completion. You will work closely with project managers, clients and suppliers to ensure accurate costing, smooth administration and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Review architectural and mechanical drawings and specifications to produce precise HVAC estimates and quotations.
• Support project managers by coordinating commercial and administrative tasks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Plan and schedule labour, materials, equipment and subcontractors to meet project timelines.
• Prepare and process sales orders, purchase orders and invoicing in line with company procedures.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal departments to maintain clear communication.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and resolve coordination issues, escalating technical matters when needed.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records using the company’s job management system.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• Minimum three years’ experience as an HVAC Project Coordinator with proven estimating responsibilities.
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial air‑conditioning and ventilation systems.
• Ability to interpret architectural and mechanical drawings and specifications.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience with eWorks or a similar job‑management software.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate HVAC quotations and costings.
• Competence in generating purchase orders, sales orders and invoices.
