Hotel Porter (Hourly Paid)

About the role

The Stellenbosch Hotel is seeking a dedicated Hotel Porter to join its team on an hourly basis. The role supports the smooth operation of guest services by handling luggage, transporting items, and ensuring a welcoming environment throughout the property.

Key responsibilities

• Assist guests with luggage handling and transportation to and from rooms.
• Operate hotel vehicles or carts safely, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the lobby, entrance areas, and service zones.
• Collaborate with front‑desk and housekeeping teams to coordinate guest arrivals and departures.

Required profile

• Matric qualification.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Minimum two years’ experience in a driving or porter role, preferably within an up‑market luxury or 4‑star hotel.
• Hard‑working, team‑oriented and able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Safe vehicle operation.
• Basic guest service etiquette.
