Hostess – Guest Services

About the role

The Vineyard Hotel is seeking a friendly and professional Hostess to work across its food and beverage outlets. You will be the first point of contact for guests, handling bookings, greeting visitors and ensuring smooth seating. The role offers exposure to restaurant, lounge, conference and event environments.

Key responsibilities

• Make bookings and manage reservations for restaurant, lounge and event spaces.
• Greet guests upon arrival and escort them to their tables or designated areas.
• Coordinate seating arrangements across multiple outlets, including restaurant, room service, lounge, conference and events.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance while representing the hotel’s brand.

Required profile

• Matric Certificate (or equivalent).
• Relevant experience in a 4‑star or comparable hospitality environment.
• Ability to work flexible shifts across different functions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Micros point‑of‑sale system.
• Experience operating SpeedPoint machines.
