Head of Sales – Insurance & Financial Services

About the role

The Head of Sales will lead the insurance and financial services sales function within a high‑volume call centre. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing large sales teams and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
• Manage, coach and expand a large outbound sales team in a call‑centre environment.
• Own end‑to‑end sales performance metrics, not just operational or campaign KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with FAIS regulations and act as the Key Individual (KI) for the organisation.
• Analyse sales data, produce reports and provide commercial insights to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing large sales teams, preferably in a call‑centre or outbound sales setting.
• Proven track record of growing sales numbers and managing operations of similar scale.
• Background in insurance, financial services or telesales with strong regulatory understanding.
• Matriculation essential; a business, commercial or sales‑related qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
• FAIS compliance required.

Required skills

• Deep practical understanding of call‑centre processes, procedures and reporting.
• Highly numerate, analytical and commercially driven mindset.
