Head of Region – KwaZulu-Natal (KZN)

About the role

The Head of Region – KZN is responsible for the overall commercial and operational performance of the KwaZulu‑Natal region. This senior leader drives profitable growth, ensures exceptional customer service, and oversees sales, distribution, warehousing, retail operations and supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the KwaZulu‑Natal region, translating national strategy into regional execution plans and fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Own commercial performance, delivering revenue and gross‑profit targets, expanding market share across On‑Trade and Retail channels, and negotiating profitable trading terms.
• Coach and develop the regional sales team, monitor pipeline, conduct customer visits and ensure CRM data quality.
• Manage the regional distribution centre, overseeing warehouse performance, picking accuracy, dispatch efficiency, vehicle utilisation and safety compliance.
• Oversee retail store operations, driving revenue growth, margin management, stock availability, promotional execution and shrinkage control.
• Collaborate with central procurement to secure product availability, improve supplier service levels and optimise working capital.
• Develop strategic supplier partnerships and maintain strong supplier relationships within the region.

Required profile

• Proven experience in regional commercial leadership with a track record of profitable revenue growth.
• Strong operational expertise across sales, distribution, warehousing and retail functions.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead high‑performing teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with customers, suppliers and internal partners.
• Strategic thinker who can translate vision into actionable plans while maintaining hands‑on execution.
