Head of Platform (Product) – Senior Leadership Role

A leading digital business is seeking an experienced Head of Platform (Product) to define and drive the strategy, evolution, and adoption of enterprise platform capabilities. This senior leadership position sits at the intersection of product, technology, engineering, architecture, and business, creating reusable capabilities that accelerate innovation across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the platform vision, strategy, and roadmap.
• Drive platform adoption, scalability, and business value realization.
• Treat platforms as products with clear value propositions, success metrics, and outcomes.
• Prioritise platform investments based on business impact, customer needs, and organisational strategy.
• Develop platform operating models, governance frameworks, and funding approaches.
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Operations teams to align roadmaps.
• Promote platform reuse, standardisation, and modern Agile product practices.
• Influence executive stakeholders, lead governance forums, and present strategic recommendations.
• Define and monitor platform KPIs, ensuring reliability, usability, scalability, and operational effectiveness.
• Identify opportunities for optimisation, automation, and capability enhancement while fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in technology, product, platform, or digital leadership roles.
• Demonstrated experience owning platform strategy, roadmap, and delivery.
• Proven experience operating in large‑scale, complex, and highly regulated environments.
