Head of Operations (NL)

About the role

The Head of Operations will lead all operational functions of a fast‑paced automotive business, overseeing procurement, imports and exports, warehouse and workshop activities, logistics, inventory, customer service and sales support. The role is focused on driving efficiency, service excellence and continuous improvement to support growth and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for import, export and procurement processes.
• Manage warehouse, inventory and workshop operations to ensure optimal flow.
• Oversee logistics, distribution and supply‑chain activities.
• Direct customer service and sales support functions.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Control operational budgets and drive financial performance.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, Engineering or a related field.
• 8–10 years of senior operations management experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of imports, exports, procurement, warehousing, logistics and inventory control.
• Proven experience managing customer service and sales support functions.
• Solid financial and commercial acumen.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
