Head of Operations – Energy

About the role

Sigma is seeking a commercially‑focused Head of Operations to lead a large‑scale energy operation in Cape Town. You will be responsible for driving performance, compliance, client satisfaction and commercial success within a fast‑paced BPO environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop and inspire Operations and Team Managers to meet service, quality and customer outcome targets.
• Drive commercial performance through strong operational management and data‑led decision making.
• Build a culture of accountability, ownership and continuous improvement across the operation.
• Implement colleague engagement initiatives that improve eNPS and retention.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and client contractual obligations.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to shape strategic direction and growth plans.

Required profile

• Proven track record as an operations leader in the energy or BPO sector.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience delivering measurable results.
• Excellent people‑management skills and ability to develop high‑performing teams.
• Data‑driven mindset with solid analytical capabilities.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
