Head of Infrastructure, Cloud and DevOps

About the role

Lesaka is seeking a senior leader to own and evolve its always‑on platform that powers merchants across Africa. Reporting to the CIO, you will be responsible for the end‑to‑end infrastructure, cloud, DevOps and 24/7 reliability that enable rapid business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Run cloud, network, data‑centre and virtualization environments to meet availability and performance targets.
• Define and maintain disaster‑recovery and business‑continuity plans for all Tier 1 systems, meeting RTO and RPO requirements.
• Operate a 24 × 7 monitoring and observability platform that measures the full merchant experience.
• Own the SIM‑card estate and mobile connectivity for deployed merchant devices.
• Manage cloud‑cost optimisation across all environments.
• Lead the enterprise‑wide deployment pipeline, IAM operational controls, and network operations.
• Oversee end‑user computing, laptop lifecycle, and infrastructure procurement.
• Directly manage teams in Infrastructure, DevOps and IT Operations and partner with Security, Architecture, Applications, ERP, CRM and Finance.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale infrastructure, cloud and DevOps functions.
• Strong accountability for cost discipline, execution and platform reliability.
• Ability to manage direct reports and collaborate across multiple technology and business domains.
• Experience in fintech or high‑growth digital commerce environments is a plus.
