Head of Delivery

About the role

The client, a fast‑growing enterprise technology and AI software company, is looking for a Head of Delivery to provide strategic direction across engineering execution, delivery operations and architectural governance. Based in Hazelwood, Pretoria, the role owns the full delivery lifecycle from software engineering to customer implementation and enterprise architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Set and maintain the delivery strategy, operating model and standards for engineering, implementation and architecture.
• Lead, coach and hold accountable the Software Development Manager and Delivery Lead as direct reports.
• Define and maintain the enterprise architecture vision, roadmap, standards and methodologies.
• Provide strategic oversight of engineering execution, sprint health and forecast accuracy.
• Maintain visibility of customer delivery roadmaps, risks and actions, and engage directly with customers when needed.
• Perform technical reviews of solution proposals to ensure architectural soundness and assess delivery risks.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Analysis or Engineering (preferred).
• 8+ years in technical delivery, architecture or engineering leadership roles.
• 5+ years in technical or solution architecture, software development or engineering.
• Proven experience leading delivery of system/software projects in structured environments.
• Strong people‑management skills and ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
