Handyman – General Maintenance (Rustenburg)

About the role

The Handy Man role is a hands‑on position delivering high‑quality general maintenance services across multiple client sites for a leading commercial real‑estate provider.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance and repair work at various client locations.
• Supervise and support a small on‑site team, allocate tasks and ensure work meets standards.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
• Accurately record work using digital job cards, reports and checklists.
• Communicate effectively with clients and management, and assist specialist teams when required.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in building and facilities maintenance.
• Experience supervising or managing a small team.
• Trade‑related qualification or technical certificate in building maintenance, construction or a related field (advantageous).
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel between sites.
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices, including safe handling of chemicals and equipment.
• Good communication skills and professional client interaction.
• High reliability, integrity and attention to detail.
