Handyman – Facility Maintenance

About the role

The Handy Man role is a hands‑on position responsible for delivering high‑quality general maintenance services across multiple client sites. You will work independently while supervising a small on‑site team, ensuring safety, service delivery and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance and repair work across various client locations.
• Supervise and support on‑site team members, allocate tasks and ensure work meets standards.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
• Accurately record work using digital tools and job‑card applications.
• Communicate effectively with clients and management regarding progress and issues.
• Support specialist teams when required and comply with health, safety and operational procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in general building and facilities maintenance.
• Experience supervising or managing a team, coordinating tasks and providing on‑site guidance.
• Trade‑related qualification or technical certificate in building maintenance, construction or a related field (advantageous).
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices, including safe handling of chemicals and equipment.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel between sites.
• Ability to use a smartphone and mobile applications for job cards, reporting and checklists.
• Good communication skills and professional interaction with clients.
• High level of reliability, integrity and attention to detail.
