Group Head of Membership & Loyalty

About the role

The Takealot Group is looking for a strategic leader to head its subscription loyalty programme, TakealotMORE. This senior role will define the programme’s vision, drive growth, and ensure operational excellence across the company’s e‑commerce platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute data‑driven strategies and marketing campaigns to increase TakealotMORE visibility, sign‑ups and member engagement.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, CRM and customer insights teams to deliver a seamless member experience across multiple channels.
• Own the P&L of the programme, managing financial performance and optimising programme economics.
• Identify and integrate emerging technologies and innovative features to enhance member benefits and competitive positioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a strong advantage.
• 7‑10 years of commercial experience with a proven track record in strategic planning, execution and P&L management.
• Experience presenting to senior leadership and influencing C‑suite stakeholders.
• Background in technology or e‑commerce product development and loyalty programmes is highly desirable.
