Group Financial Controller

About the role

The Group Financial Controller will lead finance operations across multiple international regions for a high‑growth fintech SaaS business. Reporting to senior leadership, you will provide strategic financial insight, ensure robust governance and drive performance through accurate reporting and forecasting.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a strategic finance partner to senior leadership, delivering insight to support growth.
• Lead accurate, timely financial reporting for all international operations.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning aligned with business objectives.
• Analyse trends, risks and opportunities to improve financial performance.
• Champion accountability and continuous improvement within the finance function.
• Evaluate commercial opportunities and investment decisions with financial modelling.
• Maintain effective governance, controls and compliance frameworks.
• Support cash management, liquidity planning and overall financial health.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance processes and reporting.
• Develop management information and dashboards for decision‑making.
• Mentor and develop finance team members.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives, transformation projects and business change programmes.

Required profile

• Qualified CA (SA) or CGMA with senior finance leadership experience in a complex, multi‑entity environment.
• Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, performance management and governance.
• Commercially minded leader able to partner with executives and translate data into actionable insights.
• Proven track record of leading, developing and motivating high‑performing finance teams.
