Group Financial Accountant

About the role

The Group Financial Accountant will lead the preparation and management of consolidated financial statements across multiple entities, ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal policies. You will work closely with finance teams and external auditors to deliver accurate, timely reporting for senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage consolidated financial statements for the group.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, statutory requirements, and internal financial policies.
• Support internal and external audit processes and liaise with auditors.
• Assist with group budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Produce cash flow reports and performance analyses.
• Deliver accurate financial reports to executive management.
• Monitor and improve financial controls across the group.
• Drive process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency.
• Collaborate with finance teams to maintain consistent reporting standards.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end reporting cycles.

Required profile

• CA(SA) qualification (essential).
• 2–5 years post‑articles experience in group financial consolidations.
• Proven experience with multi‑entity financial reporting and IFRS.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder management abilities.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and commercial acumen.
