Group Accountant (Manufacturing & Engineering)

About the role

Our client, a growing manufacturing and engineering organisation, is seeking a commercially‑minded Group Accountant to join their finance team. The role offers exposure to multiple entities, group reporting, costing, inventory, projects and financial planning, providing a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and consolidated group financial statements.
• Manage financial reporting across several entities.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow planning processes.
• Analyse manufacturing costs, inventory levels and project profitability.
• Oversee stock accounting, costing and related financial controls.
• Provide insightful financial analysis to support operational decision‑making.

Required profile

• BCom degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles.
• Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, with strong exposure to stock, costing and project finance.
• German language skills are an advantage.
