Graduate Mechanical Engineer – Johannesburg

About the role

Dexalt Co. is seeking a motivated Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join its Johannesburg team. This full‑time, on‑site position offers hands‑on experience in designing, analysing, and improving mechanical components and systems under senior engineering guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Create and update 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings.
• Support machine design activities, including component selection and specification.
• Assist in research and development projects and technical investigations.
• Participate in project planning, documentation, and progress tracking.
• Help with testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of existing and new products.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and machine design.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and quality.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt in a dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) tools for modelling and drafting.
• Knowledge of machine design concepts and practices.
• Familiarity with basic project management techniques, such as planning and progress tracking.
