Graduate Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering and manufacturing team in Johannesburg East. This full‑time position offers hands‑on exposure to mechanical design, product development, and manufacturing processes while working alongside experienced professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical engineering design and development of products and equipment.
• Support senior engineers with engineering calculations, technical drawings and design modifications.
• Create and modify 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Participate in product development, prototyping and testing activities.
• Investigate and resolve technical and manufacturing‑related problems.
• Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical documentation and manufacturing data packs.
• Liaise with production, suppliers and internal departments on engineering requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and optimisation of manufacturing processes.
• Ensure all engineering work complies with relevant quality, safety and technical standards.

Required profile

• BEng/BSc/BTech in Mechanical Engineering (graduate or recently qualified).
• Strong academic record (advantageous).
• 0–2 years of relevant experience (advantageous).
• Computer literacy with good proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Exposure to CAD software (advantageous).
• Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Analytical, detail‑oriented and able to interpret technical drawings.
• Effective communicator who works well in a team.
