Glazier – Public Infrastructure Maintenance

About the role

The Glazier will support domestic, commercial and industrial building maintenance by carrying out glazing repairs and upgrades for Aberdeen City Council’s public infrastructure. This is a permanent, full‑time position based at the Kittybrewster Complex.

Key responsibilities

• Measure, cut and fit double and single‑glazed units across a range of public buildings.
• Perform glazing repairs and upgrades to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with other trades and team members to achieve project goals.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety and council standards.

Required profile

• Minimum Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in Glazing at SCQF level 5 (or equivalent).
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Valid ECS card.
• Demonstrated experience working with glazing in domestic, commercial or industrial settings.

Required skills

• Measuring, cutting and fitting double and single‑glazed units.
• Installation and repair of glazing systems.
• Knowledge of safety procedures for glazing work.
