German-Speaking Claims Handler

About the role

We are seeking a German‑speaking Claims Handler to join our international insurance team in Cape Town. The role involves managing medical and travel insurance claims from initial enquiry through to settlement, ensuring a high level of service for travellers and partner organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Process end‑to‑end insurance claims, including data entry and invoice verification.
• Respond to email enquiries in both German and English.
• Coordinate communication with international partners, travellers and medical providers.
• Maintain accurate documentation and system records for each case.
• Ensure claims are handled within required timelines and service standards.
• Collaborate with a multicultural, multilingual team to deliver consistent support.

Required profile

• Fluent written and spoken German and English.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience in insurance, claims handling or related customer‑service environments.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team.
