About the role
The City of Ekurhuleni is seeking a General Worker to maintain turf‑grass areas, stadiums and hard courts. The role involves routine cleaning, preparation of specialised surfaces and support for events, ensuring all facilities meet hygiene and safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Keep facilities clean and tidy, including vacuuming carpets, cleaning furniture and equipment.
- Maintain paved and tarmac surfaces, clean and water flowerbeds, and rake grass clippings.
- Prepare specialised turf‑grass areas and set up facilities for functions.
- Remove and store furniture and equipment after events and report any damage or defects.
Required profile
- Completed Grade 10 with ability to read and write.
- Ability to follow safety regulations and Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
