General Worker – Temporary Warehouse Role

About the role
The General Worker supports the efficient day‑to‑day operations of a busy warehouse in Johannesburg. This temporary position involves a range of manual and operational tasks to ensure goods are received, stored, and dispatched safely and accurately.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming stock.
- Sort, label, and store goods in designated locations.
- Pick and pack customer orders with accuracy.
- Load and off‑load vehicles safely.
- Assist with stock replenishment, inventory movement, and stock counts.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping throughout the warehouse.
- Report damaged stock, shortages, or safety hazards.
- Wrap, palletise, and prepare goods for dispatch.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment following company policies and health‑safety regulations.
Required profile
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Clean criminal record.
- Good communication skills.
- 2–3 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
