General Manager

About the role

The General Manager will lead Dante Group's manufacturing operations in Paarden Eiland, driving performance, profitability and continuous improvement. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for both floor‑level decisions and strategic boardroom discussions.

Key responsibilities

• Improve operational performance across all manufacturing processes.
• Develop and mentor high‑performing teams to achieve production targets.
• Manage operational budgets and ensure financial discipline.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and commercial partnerships.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and drive cost‑efficiency.
• Make critical decisions on the factory floor and in executive meetings.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Operations Management or Business Management.
• 8–15 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior operational leadership role.
• Proven experience in metal pressing, fabrication or similar manufacturing environments.
• Strong commercial awareness and customer engagement skills.
• Financial acumen with experience managing operational budgets.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
