General Manager – Facilities & Operations

About the role

Are you an ambitious operations leader ready to make a high‑impact mark on a major corporate portfolio? We are seeking an energetic and strategic General Manager – Facilities & Operations to take full ownership of operational excellence, client relationship management, and commercial performance across a premier corporate account. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, champion continuous improvement, and ensure contractual SLAs are consistently exceeded.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and execute operational plans, manage budgets, optimise resource allocation and drive profit contribution.
• Maintain rigorous service standards to achieve and exceed contractual SLAs, aligned with ISO 9001 and quality benchmarks.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, fostering collaborative partnerships and protecting corporate reputation.
• Lead and mentor Operations and Regional Administration Managers, driving talent development and performance reviews.
• Enforce compliance with occupational health, safety and environmental statutory requirements across all sites.
• Implement benchmarking practices, emerging technologies and efficient technical service workflows.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification at NQF Level 6 or 7 (Degree or Advanced Diploma) with a valid Matric certificate.
• Minimum 3 years of management experience in outsourced property services, integrated facilities management or corporate client services.
• Working knowledge of the OHS Act, ISO 9001 quality management and operational risk frameworks.
• Proven expertise in financial management, budgeting, contract negotiation and customer relationship management.
• Intermediate proficiency in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook).
• Valid South African driver’s licence.
