General Maintenance Handyman – Farm

About the role

We are seeking a reliable General Maintenance Handyman to support the technical needs of Radyn farm, located 10 km north of Clanwilliam. Reporting to the Farm Manager, you will carry out a wide range of repairs and preventative maintenance on farm buildings, vehicles and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic and preventative maintenance on tractors, spray pumps, cars, trucks, motorcycles, implements and light fittings.
• Repair water leaks, maintain building structures and ensure equipment is operational.
• Control inventory of tools and maintenance supplies.
• Complete daily and weekly administration tasks such as checking diesel levels, oil, and tyre pressure.
• Maintain a tidy and safe work area.
• Carry out basic welding on items such as burglar bars, metal brackets and trailer rails.
• Undertake any additional related tasks as required.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification.
• Proven technical aptitude with the ability to read and write.
• Experience in maintenance or handyman work.
• Willingness to be trained in maintenance procedures and welding.
• Driver’s licence is beneficial but not mandatory.
