General Foreman – Western Cape (Construction)

About the role

The General Foreman will report to the Site Manager and oversee daily operations on construction sites in the Western Cape. This senior position ensures that commercial and residential projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities and coordinate construction tasks.
• Manage labour teams, subcontractors and monitor productivity targets.
• Enforce health and safety regulations and conduct site safety checks.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, ensuring work aligns with specifications.
• Report progress, site issues and material needs to management.

Required profile

• Minimum NQF4/5 qualification (TJEKA Red Seal preferred).
• At least 15 years of experience as a Senior/General Foreman in construction.
• Proven track record on both commercial and residential projects.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Experience with structural, wet trades and finishing work.
