General Assistant – BUCO (Brits)

About the role

The Building Company is looking for a reliable General Assistant to support the BUCO business unit in Brits. The role involves a mix of customer‑facing duties and hands‑on operational tasks to keep the unit running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customers with their orders and assist with enquiries.
• Load and off‑load vehicles, ensuring safe handling of goods.
• Manage pack‑yard stock items, including organization and inventory checks.
• Clean and safeguard vehicles and equipment.
• Support customers and suppliers with timely assistance.
• Carry out wash‑bay activities and maintain a tidy work environment.
• Uphold company values and promote a positive culture.

Required profile

• Minimum education: Grade 12.
• Ability to work across any area of the business unit as needed.
• Strong product knowledge relevant to the retail environment.
• Commitment to follow company policies and procedures.
