General Accounting Manager

About the role

Henkel is seeking a General Accounting Manager to lead financial closing, reporting and general accounting activities. The role combines strong technical expertise with strategic partnership, ensuring compliance, internal controls and effective audit coordination across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end financial closing and reporting processes.
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure efficient audit procedures and compliance.
• Implement and monitor accounting‑related internal controls and ensure adherence to IFRS and local regulations.
• Provide accounting advice to business units and support decision‑making with financial impact analysis.
• Lead tax compliance, act as local tax advisor and drive initiatives to minimize tax expenses.
• Oversee cash forecasting, banking relationships, funding, investment decisions and financial risk management.
• Identify and propose improvements to existing accounting processes and systems.

Required profile

• Experience in a Big Four audit firm and/or multinational corporate environment in accounting and tax.
• Proven ability to lead teams, coach and mentor staff.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and conflict‑resolution abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Hands‑on experience with SAGE ERP (or similar financial systems).
