Fundraising & Partnership Officer - Conservation

About the role

The Fundraising & Partnership Officer will lead the development and management of institutional, corporate, foundation and trust funding for a luxury safari operator’s conservation foundation. This strategic position bridges donor acquisition with disciplined grant implementation, ensuring long‑term funding and high‑quality programme delivery that creates measurable conservation and community impacts.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, research and qualify new funding opportunities across institutional, corporate, foundation and trust sectors.
• Develop compelling grant proposals, budget applications and high‑quality impact narratives.
• Build and maintain a diversified funding pipeline to secure multi‑year strategic partnerships.
• Coordinate internal systems to deliver projects on time, within budget and in full compliance with donor requirements.
• Set up and maintain grant management, compliance records and programme accountability frameworks.
• Proactively flag operational risks related to project delivery or compliance.
• Manage ongoing donor relationships, providing timely stewardship and high‑impact reporting.
• Collaborate closely with Finance, Sustainability & Impact, Marketing and regional Country Teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in institutional or foundation fundraising, grant writing and donor pipeline management.
• Strong proposal writing skills, including development of logical frameworks and budgets.
• Demonstrated project management capability, with attention to timelines, budgets and compliance.
• Ability to translate donor commitments into well‑structured projects and reports.
