Full-Function Accountant – Pretoria

About the role

We are looking for a meticulous Full‑Function Accountant to own the entire financial accounting process for our SME client in Pretoria East. The role requires independent, detail‑oriented professionals who can manage daily transactions, tax submissions and month‑end reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Handle full AP/AR cycles, daily bank reconciliations, debtor follow‑ups and 3‑way matching.
• Prepare month‑end close pack (provisions, accruals, FX revaluations, depreciation) and deliver management accounts within five working days.
• Maintain fixed‑asset register and produce a 13‑week cash‑flow forecast.
• Process multi‑currency transactions (ZAR, USD, EUR, GBP) and reconcile inter‑company balances for South Africa and Zimbabwe.
• Manage end‑to‑end SARS eFiling for VAT201, EMP201, EMP501, IRP6 and ITR14.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors and compile the year‑end audit pack under IFRS for SMEs.

Required profile

• B.Com Accounting or equivalent (Honours a plus).
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on financial accounting experience, preferably in an SME.
• Proven expertise in SARS eFiling from computation to submission.
• Highly independent with reliable transport.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel – pivots, lookups.
• ERP/Accounting software such as Sage, Xero or QuickBooks.
• IFRS for SMEs.
• Multi‑currency accounting.
• FIFO inventory costing.
• SARS eFiling.

What we offer

• Salary: R32,000 per month (negotiable).
