About the role
The Department of Public Works and Roads is seeking a Fuel Attendant to join its team at the Mahikeng service centre. This full‑time position involves providing fuel and related services to customers while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.
Key responsibilities
- Check fluid levels and add fluid as needed.
- Clean vehicle windshields and windows.
- Check tire pressure and add air as needed.
- Register fuel quantities required by customers.
- Assist customers with fuel and other services.
Required profile
- Qualification: STD 8 / Grade 10 or equivalent (ABET).
- No prior experience required (0‑1 year acceptable).
- Knowledge of Public Service Regulations and Acts.
Required skills
- Ability to read and write.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in hot, noisy environments.
- Customer service orientation.
- Operation of a fuel register and handling of heavy items.
