Frontline Supervisor – Bracken Gardens

About the role

Dis-Chem Pharmacies are looking for a Frontline Supervisor for the Bracken Gardens store in Alberton. The role ensures a world‑class shopping experience by supporting customer service, liaising between management and cashiers, and overseeing day‑to‑day till operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and report customer compliments and complaints, and ensure smooth queue flow.
• Oversee cash handling, including shorts, overs, floats, discrepancies, line voids, tender ups and price overrides.
• Process refunds, returns and all payment types while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Train and assist new cashiers and ensure proper handling of stock, back‑shopping and outgoing items.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 with at least 2 years of cashier‑related experience, including 6 months shadowing a Cashier Supervisor.
• Strong numerical ability, trustworthy, presentable and fluent in English plus an additional language.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift and perform retail duties, and a valid driver’s licence with own transport.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Working knowledge of SAP.
