Frontend Developer (React) – Hybrid, Johannesburg

About the role

Indsafri is seeking an experienced Frontend Developer specialized in React to join its hybrid team in Johannesburg. The role involves turning detailed designs into high‑quality, maintainable code while mentoring junior developers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop robust, fault‑tolerant front‑end components using React, Next.js, Redux and SASS/SCSS.
• Produce clean, observable, and scalable software that aligns with architectural standards.
• Estimate effort, create deployment artefacts, and manage source‑control repositories.
• Write unit and system test cases, conduct testing, and support ongoing maintenance.
• Collaborate with designers, product owners and engineering leads to refine solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other developers.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional front‑end development experience with React and related frameworks.
• South African citizenship.
• Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent; relevant diplomas or certifications are a plus.
