About the role
The Front Office Manager oversees all reception and guest services operations, reservations, guest relations and front office administration, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee reception and guest services operations, including reservations and guest relations.
- Drive revenue through proactive sales activity and lead conversion.
- Maintain financial control such as cash‑ups, floats, foreign exchange and banking.
- Lead structured staff development, including training, appraisals and rostering.
- Ensure safety, security and incident‑reporting standards are upheld.
Required profile
- Matric (or equivalent) qualification.
- Hospitality Management qualification.
- 2–3 years front office management experience.
- 5+ years overall front office experience.
- Hands‑on problem‑solving approach and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong leadership and delegation skills.
- Effective communication with staff and guests.
- Ability to work shifts and adapt to a dynamic environment.
