Front of House Manager

About the role

The Front of House Manager will lead daily front‑of‑house operations at Create Lonehill, a ceramic painting café in Johannesburg. This full‑time, on‑site role ensures a warm, welcoming atmosphere while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily front‑of‑house operations and ensure a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
• Manage reservations, coordinate seating plans and supervise service flow during peak periods.
• Lead, train and schedule front‑of‑house staff, fostering teamwork and high service standards.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations.

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer‑service abilities.
• Hands‑on experience in food and beverage service.
• Proven ability to train and supervise a team.
• Sales orientation to promote menu items and increase revenue.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and problem‑solving skills.
• Previous hospitality or café management experience is highly desirable.
