Freelance Web Developer

About the role

TheWebDepartment.com is a WebOps agency serving finance companies. We are looking for a freelance web developer to support ad‑hoc client projects and help maintain high‑performing websites.

Key responsibilities

• Set up hosting environments, staging sites, and perform migrations.
• Configure domain connections and DNS settings.
• Build and update web pages and landing pages from Figma designs.
• Implement integrations and automations across platforms.
• Configure tracking tools such as Google Tag Manager, GA4, and Meta Conversions API.
• Create complex forms with conditional logic and third‑party integrations.

Required profile

• Comfortable working from brief outlines and asking clarifying questions.
• Technically versatile and quick to learn new tools.
• Proactive communicator who flags blockers early.
• Deadline‑driven and able to meet short turnaround windows.

Required skills

• HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• WordPress and Elementor Pro (responsive builds from design files)
• Google Tag Manager and GA4 configuration
• Automation tools such as Zapier or N8N
• Web performance optimization and page‑speed tuning
• DNS and hosting management (Cloudflare, cPanel, SFTP, MySQL)
