About the role

TransPerfect is seeking a data‑driven Freelance SEO Specialist to help global brands expand their digital presence in the South African market. You will work on a variety of SEO and visibility projects, delivering measurable growth for clients across traditional search engines and emerging AI‑powered platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical SEO audits, including Core Web Vitals, hreflang and canonical reviews.
• Perform LLM visibility audits and develop AI prompts for search optimization.
• Create and optimise content strategies tailored to the South African audience.
• Provide technical SEO consulting and localisation guidance for international brands.
• Execute website crawls, keyword research, and on‑page optimisation.
• Deliver detailed SEO analysis reports using industry‑standard tools.

Required profile

• Native or full‑professional proficiency in English.
• Strong technical and on‑page SEO knowledge.
• Proven experience with international SEO and localisation projects.
• Familiarity with AI‑driven search, large language models, and prompt engineering.
• Ability to work independently on a flexible, project‑based schedule.
